Anyone who deals with the challenge of infertility has their own unique story, full of many emotions. Macie and Braxton Davies want people dealing with infertility to know that they are not alone in the fight. So, they have decided to share their story with the world. Macie has a disorder called, Mullerian Agenisis. At a young age, she learned that she does not have a uterus or fallopian tubes. This meant that she would never be able to carry a child. “Finding out that you will never be able to be pregnant at the age of 15 is pretty shocking,” Macie confessed. “To be honest, I couldn’t quite wrap my head around it.” She and her family decided that it would be best to push this information out of their heads until the right time came.

When Macie was in college she married her husband, Braxton. They started the IVF process in 2017 and thought it would take years before they would find a surrogate. Today, they are anxiously awaiting the birth of their twin boys. “It was so special for us to finally see our dreams coming true. Then to find out a few weeks later that it was TWINS. Life was amazing!” Macie exclaimed.

Although they have witnessed a miracle, Macie and Braxton admit that the pain felt during this journey has been very real and hard to overcome. They hope that their story will be an inspiration to those going through a similar challenge. Here are some of the things that they said helped them remain faithful during infertility:

• Take it one day at a time. Know that God will guide you in the right direction.

• Know that it is okay to be hurt and sad, but not okay to let it ruin your life.

• Don’t blame yourself, or anyone else.

Macie and Braxton have shown an incredible amount of faith throughout their journey. They still have a lot of unanswered questions, but they feel so lucky to have been able to find a carrier and get their twin boys here. “Know that you are not alone,” Macie encouraged. “Together we can conquer infertility.”
